My aussie is pretty aggressive when playing with me and my friends, so I was afraid it might be a problem with small children. However, when one of my friends brought his four year old daughter, the dog was super sweet and gentle. Wasn’t scared, didn’t rough house, just wanted to cuddle, be petted, and protect the little girl. It was adorable.

Dogs have a pretty good maternal/paternal instinct. My dog can be real aggressive and playful with adult males and big male dogs, but she’s gentle with all kids and smaller dogs. The kids can poke her with sticks and shoot nerf guns and roughhouse with her and she never does anything to them except lick them. Never any growling or showing teeth. Pretty remarkable to watch honestly.

I have a rat terrier/chihuahua..He is a good dog. Only two things that piss him off.. going to the vet and an XGF's father. He snaps/snapped at both. The XGF's father is a real dick.

It's funny that the post after yours was a Chow Chow..Because that's the dog two other Vets have told me they fear the most. They said the Chihuahua is more manageable.
When the Vet does the abdominal check my dog will whip around and bite..I always warn him..He learned his lesson..twice..

I know this is a joke.. or I am assuming it is, but if people really believe that all breeds are equal then they shoulldn't own a dog.
