I’m not sure what HS kids do these days. My neighbors kid who is 17 seems like a popular lad that attends Country Day, baseball player, always has friends over doing whatever kids do. I asked his father once if HS kids still Goto bars—his response was they would rather play on their phone and eat take out poke’ loa and frozen yogurt than cutting loose at a bar. Lol.

Well, I went to Episcopal, played a lot of sports and had plenty of friends, so this kid seems very comparable to me.

And my parents didn't know I was frequenting bars

More like the kids don't tell their parents they're hanging out at bars or drinking at bonfires on the levee late at night.

Not even remotely true. Baton Rouge is very very different from what it was back in 2003. The traffic is worse, the crime is worse and far less contained, but there's a lot fewer abandoned buildings everywhere, downtown is actually kinda nice now and booming with apartment and hotel construction, no more ice hockey, and there's a lot better bar, music, restaurant, and arts scene. A lot of areas of town that were crummy are now gentrified, a few areas that were middle class that are now hood, and a lot of areas that are now very nice that were once pastures and woodland.

Move to New Orleans. It’s better than ever in my 60 years. A lot of new apts and condos being constructed downtown. It’s consolidated which is really nice. A very walkable city if u live downtown to many things. Great history to boot

Some places in Jersey can be quite nice. Others not so much.

At any rate, you will need to get a Glock and a semiauto shotgun to defend your home. Also I hope you don't have a daughter b/c she will enjoy meeting the black guys at school. And by "meeting" I really mean something else.
