Yes we did. Honestly I feel like they do better with a friend. I've noticed that the separation anxiety goes way down when they have another one with them. We had an 8 year old and brought in a puppy. He maybe slightly tried to eat her at first but ended becoming best friends lol. Almost like an old married couple. So I would say definitely get a friend for them!

Dachshund translates to badger dog. They were bred for that purpose. The long nose to better pick up a scent, the floppy ears to trap a scent around the nose, the elongated body to better enter badger holes, and the over sized paws for digging.

Them little weiner dogs will fight back for sure...
My dog, exactly like yours in the pic, peed in my slipper when he was about 3 yrs old and I spanked him pretty good with that slipper. No more problems for about 6 more yrs and he did it again. I got mad a hell and as I was beating him with that slipper he bit the hell out of me. I guess he won round 2. He never did it again though.
