I think El Paso or Las Cruces would be pretty cool, but I'm not sure I could make a good living.

You know the damp penetrating cold of an east coast winter?
It’s the opposite out west. You can walk around in a T Shirt at zero degrees, and feel comfortable.
You should respect the weather. The weather can kill you. But that’s just basic preparedness. It’s having safety kit if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere.
And it’s buying winter tires.
The people who move away are the people who don’t like winter sports.

I thought so, too, but the people there actually don't want to talk about Dennis. My speaker's colloquium / meet-and-greet was a complete flop.

I live in San Diego
I should show you what it looks like downtown. It ain't clean
It's been rainy and cloudy nonstop the past 3-4 weeks
Crowded beaches
This place is very crowded. Tons of people everywhere.
Unfortunately its getting worse and worse.

San Diego is the obvious choice.
Denver would be another good option.

Asheville is great, one of my favorite cities but living there would get old quickly.
