Some sources are saying the shooter was a girl named Clara Sorrenti
99.9% it’s a troll in the same vein as Sam Hyde claims. Keffals is a disgusting child grooming freak though. He apparently recently checked himself into rehab due to spending a bunch of donated money meant for a legal fund on cocaine
If you want more information on “Clara Sorrentti” aka Lucas Roberts, there is an extensive 3,000 page kiwi farms thread on this freak already

Some of you need to just wait for law enforcement to give news instead of believing every “pic of the shooter” you see on Twitter is true.

It's 100% a troll. Keffals is 29 (not 28) and police said the shooter was a former student and Keffals grew up in Canada, so she wouldn't have attended this school.

The root cause for someone shooting up a school full of children is going to be mental health 100% of the time. There literally is no other explanation as to why someone would do that. The root causes of mental health is a million dollar question isn't it
I would agree. Mental health issues are the root cause. Mental health issues are subjective and open to interpretation. Inevitably the insane shooter in these shootings obtained the gun legally or somehow got it from a person who obtained it legally. Either way the buyer got it legally, having gone through the egregious assault on the second amendment that is background checks. Obviously they only exist to keep honest people and guns separate. Good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns almost every time one of these shootings take place. Therefore it is logical to arm every man, woman and child without regards to their background. More good guys than bad guys. A modest proposal....

Again, this type of thing was unheard of until recently. Right around until the time 24/7 news coverage and the rise of the internet.
Does Europe have 24/7 news coverage and the internet?

Jesus. I'm not touching this shitshow with a 10 foot pole in my everyday conversations.
I'm just saddened for the innocent loss of lives, especially the 3 children.

Damn. First call to police came in at 10:13. Shooter was down at 10:27. Brave policemen doing what hero's do. Stark contract to that nonsense in Uvalde.
Metro police deserve a ton of credit… this city has its faults, but metro police and fire do a solid job.

Let's try this again. What is your opinion on the root cause?
Since you're asking for an opinion, I'll give it a go. When I was a kid, and this was before gun free zones and also during a time when it wasn't uncommon for kids to have shotguns on racks in their trucks at school, school shootings were not just unheard of, they were unthought of. Some other differences between then and now: mostly dual parent families, more community (see church) involvement, the schools and teachers hadn't been completely neutered from disciplining kids.
The other angle to consider is the seeming "adulation" that the media and social media have bestowed on school shootings. The impact and focus nationwide is instantaneous and immense. That has to be appealing to activists and outcasts alike.

Good plentiful times mean you arent focusing on survival as the human brain has evolved to do for thousands of years
So the brain doesnt know what to do and you get mental illness in a decent amount of people
Bet there is a whole lot less mental illness in 3rd world countries
I'm thinking there just as much of an effect from us coddling everyone and trying to legislate the idea that no one should ever have to face adversity of any kind, whether that be being teased, feeling marginalized, unappreciated, etc. That used to be part of growing up. Now it's not, so people haven't learned how to cope with life when things go bad. Then, they have the advent of social media coupled with the instantaneous 24 hour news cycle, which opens another can of worms. Just my uneducated theory. I did watch a new Netflix doc regarding social media and its effect on us as people, and it was very sobering. It shouldn't be a surprise that many of those in that industry don't let their kids use social media.

More guns and less media coverage. An addition to the modest proposal...

Explain why school shootings were unheard of until recently, with much easier access to firearms.
Well for starters, the internet has royally fricked far too many minds. It is the third parent in too many households and provides echo chambers for far too many mentally unwell people. Kids suck now because parents fricking suck now more than ever, and we all know why they suck now more than ever.

That all being said... now that it seems to be confirmed as a troll... I will say no more on that person unless police come out and confirm that identification

The UK has a knife violence epidemic. No guns, still violent crime.
USA 2020....almost 20,000 murders by gun.
UK 2021/22...261 murders by knife or sharp object.
Hmmm. Something seems a bit different. One of these objects seems to be more efficient at killing. Maybe that's why a gun is preferred over a knife in war? Do you take a knife to a gun fight? Nope.
By the way, I have several guns. The knife versus gun arguement is just stupid.

American society/culture. There a lot of things that contribute to what it has become. The problem is, I don't think you can fix the issue unless you can transform American society as a whole, which is quite a challenge. No one wants a non fixable issue, but here we are.
I totally agree with this, fwiw. There’s several factors at play here. Kids growing up having to raise themselves(usually because of single parent households). The age of and need for instant social media gratification.
Those are just two but I think they play a very large part. I would include religion but religion given incorrectly can be just as bad as parenting done wrong.

It is 100% going to be some version of this.

I think we have all seen what a bunch of angry Germans are capable of. I'd also say the Swiss have a shite ton of guns.
