nope. you can thank all those pos people who blew themselves up on purpose, which led to many many lawsuits, which led to retarded juries awarding them a bunch of money, which led all gas can manufactures in the US to go out of business bc no one would insure them.

Never had a problem with the new cans. I actually liked them once I got the hang of them. You really have to ratchet down the top so it doesn’t leak, but I had zero issues with flow or spillage filling my generator after laura.

I just bought these from Amazon to add to my cans, like the one below. Should have done it years ago. Instead of taking 5 minutes to pour out an unvented 5 gallon can, you can pour it in less than a minute.

Those green ones suck arse but they’re still not as bad as those fricking dumb ones that you have to push the thing in the side of the nozzle down. I spilled more gasoline than I even put in to my lawn mower trying to use one of those. I just bought some flexy spouts with vent ports. Need to order some more for all my new gas cans.

I bought some with this style, and they aren't that bad. The green button ones are BS.

The ones with the green button are better than this junk. I can't stand these.
I went on amazon and bought (8) VP racing cans. They are the best and drain fast because they are actually vented.

Agreed. I have been covered in gas a few times because of this dumb shite.

I'll admit this is the first time I had to use the new style cans but: Who in the Hell designed these things?

Basically correct. Here's a John Stossel piece on why the old cans are no more, and what happened to the company that used to make them. FWIW, I still have three of these which I guard with my life.

The same people responsible for making diesel drivers buy DEF fluid from a plastic can in a cardboard box with a little funnel that no doubt just gets thrown in a dumpster somewhere with the left over fluid and residue finding its way out into the "environment."

My buddy was bragging on the green buttons because they don’t spill. After about 4 minutes I pointed out he had only poured 1 gallon of gas. He tossed it and grabbed the funnel and finished the other 4gal in a minute.

My family owned an auto repair business for generations and I’ve collected a bunch of their five gallon paint thinner cans over the years. I’m stocked as frick.

$4.35 long blank funnel from OReilly.
Cut the bottom inch off.
Take off stupid pour spout from new gas can.
Poor in tank.
