tires are one of those items i'm not buying cheap. cheap tires are just that, cheap. they get nails in them easily, and they play a huge factor in regards to you stopping quick enough to avoid possible death.

When I bought my G35, it had tires on it the dealership obviously cheaped out on.

Whenever it would rain, the rear of the car would get tailhappy loose when you let off the accelerator and not even touch the brakes. I had to turn right to go left a few times with it.

One day I was on the road and it had been raining that night. The road itself was practically dry with just a few moist spots in the center and on side of the road.

The interstate veered left, transferred from asphalt to the concrete of the bridge. I let off the accelerator and the car went into a full fledged 65 mph drift onto the bridge. I could see the cars ahead of me through the side window. Had the steering wheel locked to the right to correct.

The car corrected.. due to some help from the driving aids and the nice man next to me that backed off and let me have the right lane as well to correct.

The problem is that the car is AWD and the coupling in the transfer case does not immediately unlock. You let off the accelerator, the front tires sees drag from the drivetrain for a half second, and the rear of the car tries to step out.

Went right to the tire place after that and strapped on 4 new Yokohama Z rated tires. No issues since. The tires that came off were Falkans with a 700 tread wear

Which trim model, how do you drive it, and are you an in town grocery getter, or lots of highway miles? What part of the country are you in?

And TBH, I would go to the dealer (you'll find the price difference is not going to be that great) or a good Porsche shop. Call your dealer and they'll give you a price you can compare against Discount tire, etc (which I actually like). But I'd be careful sending a Cayenne to just anyone to for anything.

I drive a 2023 Cayenne S, its my second one, great cars. I've had both Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-season and Continental Pro Contact - prefer the Pirelli, but the Contis last longer.

Michelin Defenders from Discount Tire. Best SUV tire I've ever owned. They last forever also (in tire speak)

You bought used? Dealer doesn't decide what tires go on a new vehicle.

New tires strategy

Dude

I put Michelins on my Lexus and Pirellis on my Mercedes

If you’re have a nice car, why the hell would you want to drive it on cheap tires?

Dealer installed prior to me finding it. It was a 40,000 mile trade in.

I had luck finding a smoking price on my tires on Amazon. I was able to order the tires, have them shipped directly to the tire place, and schedule my appointment all through Amazon. Check them out if you haven't..

I’d try discount t tire - we purchased my cayman and cayenne tires - you just have to find someone that you are comfortable in dealing with your rims

Why do so many people say “the wife” instead of “ my wife”

It’s odd to me

Go argue with yourself. Dude wants to try to save a few hundred on tires when the replacement has the potential cost a lot more than any savings is stupid.

Overpaying is dumb but paying for quality service matters.

Go have a LNCHBOX day.

Walmart, Costco or Sam's. Yes they can do aluminum mag wheels.
Are your front tires skinnier than the back?
Not an issue. But on the porsche I was looking at. No tire was rotatable.
