Maybe YOU are blessed with genetics making it easier for you to maintain a healthy weight but it’s not as easy for others. Maybe you have more free time to exercise. Maybe you have a higher income, making it more possible for you to buy healthy foods. Some people have to work very hard just to maintain their weight let alone lose. Some can eat whatever the hell the want and stay skinny. Some are parents - sometimes it’s a choice between spending time with your kids and exercising. Some women gained too much weigh during pregnancy and it’s just too hard to lose it.
Being 600 lbs is much more of a choice than say 250 but 250 is obese too according to BMI charts.
Cut people some slack.

I could stand to drop 20-30 lbs but that would require haard work and discipline.
Have you ever tried hard work and discipline? frick all that noise.

Can’t argue with that statement !

2,500 calories:
SIX large sweet potatoes
FOUR large chicken breasts
five eggs
It would be hard work to try to eat that much whole food in a day.

I have dropped 18 lbs in a month. Haven’t really exercised, just changed my eating habits. I know what works for me and when I feel bad about myself I change. All it takes is discipline and dedication.

I don’t hate on big people but 50 years ago, shite even 25, it was rare to see one. None of those excuses mattered back then, no reason for them to now

This is the answer.

Me too, but it's all things she's said herself, so she can get mad at it, but that would be irrational and women are never irrational, right?

Why It Was Easier to Be Skinny in the 1980s
Wheat Belly / Super Gut / Unholy Trinity - Carbs, Sugars, & Oils make us sick & addicted
Would be nice if govt and corps were on our side helping to make it easier for everyone to make healthy choices, instead of purposefully poisoning us to bleed us dry of our money profits as purposeful lifelong patients.
Tucker interviews Casey Means
RFK Jr full speech

I think the obesity rate would go down if they switched ebt to a cash program
I went to Albertsons yesterday and the people in front of me ran up like 200 bucks of sugary carb crap food that was all like 8 bucks a bag. Cokes and chips are expensive now
If we gave those people cash instead of funds earmarked for food they’d choose healthier things like alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, maybe even gambling

Agreed.

A 40year old sedentary female (zero exercise, desk job) that weighs 300 lbs requires 2,500 calories a day just to maintain that weight.
Not at all actually. You can maintain that weight with a lot less calories than that.

Alright... So thats lunch. What's for dinner?

I eat more than that just for breakfast.
Four whole eggs and a pint of egg whites.

It would be hard work to try to eat that much whole food in a day. And again that is zero exercise or activity.
You left off the 64 oz Big Gulp of sugared soda of their choice...

I will give you a prime example: Talking to a Doc a few years ago about his opinion of obama-scam(ya know that lie, its gonna save me lots and lots of money only to see my health insurance premiums skyrocket).
He relates to me story after story of seeing young 25-30 years old coming into his practice who are diabetic, 300lbs plus, needing kidney transplants, going on dialysis, with major heart conditions... who are living on welfare and sucking up federal Medicare resources...
And guess WHO is paying for it all? That's right, you and I, the good ole US taxpayer.
I could go on about 'farm' subsidies that feed this sickness epidemic called the SAD regime(Standard American Diet).
Then we can talk about Big Pharm that is raking in train loads of $$$ taking advantage of this disaster that we are paying for.
I would highly encourage you and others to take some time to listen to Tuckers podcast with Casey Means, MD

I feel bad for fat kids/teens. Huge uphill battle for them

Why do you knuckle draggers worry about the fatties so much? Who cares if Barbra from accounting wants another Twinkie?
The fats drive up healthcare premiums.
