Someone at my office just told me they found the plane in the Indian Ocean, is this true?
No... They are assuming thats where it is due to some analysis.

Why announce an assumption?

I'll one up you... Why announce it to the families via a text message?
That shows you the smarts of the people who are running this operation.

I have a question. Do most of the families believe their loved ones on this plane are dead?
What are their thoughts? Has any one of them spoke to the media?

No clue... But from the reactions, it sounds like a bunch thought there was still a chance of survival.
Reports of people fainting and being treated at the announcement. I know everyone grieves in their own way, and trust me I've been through a ton of shite, but I just don't see how you react that badly 3 weeks later.

Nope. They've had a couple of family members come on the news and specifically say they weren't giving up hope. The partner of the missing American even pleaded over the air to "not harm her husband and the others on board." Hate seeing it end this way, but there was never going to be a happy ending. The families should hope for conclusive findings asap so they can move on with their lives.

They might want to check out whoever is responsible for inspecting the electrical power generators on these planes.

Some dumbasses still think the 911 hijackers lived in caves. Never overestimate people, I've found out.

yep, certainly bears some interest in looking into I would think.
That, and there was another Malaysian Airlines plane that hit a flock of birds recently and had to be grounded as well
ouch

LOL. This one hit the flock of birds while landing. It damaged a landing light lens or something.
