So with his suicide he decided to kill 220 other people, including the crew, some of which he likely knew personally? And then decided to just fly out into the middle of nowhere to do it instead of just crashing the plane on its regular path???
Like with any profession, you learn the "ins and outs" of it and how you can get away with something. At some point in one of their careers, they might have thought, "Wow, all I have to do is turn off a couple of these systems, and I can take this plane anywhere, and no one will ever find it."
Also, suicidal people often do things that just don't make sense - in fact, many of them harm others in the course of their suicide. They have a taste for the dramatic, so to speak. After all, the pilots have the capability to shut off oxygen flow to the cabin in the cockpit. This, of course, would render everyone on the plane unconscious, and no one could put a stop to it.
If one of the pilots had decided to end their life by creating a mystery such as this, they certainly had the capability to pull it off.
It seems possible that if one of the pilots intended for MH370 to be their suicide mission, why not fly the plane to one of the most desolate locations on Earth? Why not create a worldwide media craze that leaves people talking about it for months? It's certainly plausible.

I guess the capt killing the co-pilot isn't possible?
Pilot Programs in the turn 12 min before the "Good Night"
Co-Pilot says "Good Night"
Immediately after, Pilot throws on auto, struggle happens and he kills co-pilot
With those reinforced Cockpit doors perhaps the pilot could have just simply locked out the co.pilot(or vice versa) as he went to the restroom, for food or drinks or socialize with Stewardess/Attendants ?
Did not crash in the relatively shallow Gulf of Thailand (300 feet )so the Plane could be not never or extremely difficult to found in the deeper /remote Indian Ocean(13,000 feet).
A report on CNN now says Malaysia is backing off the claim that there were pre-programmed waypoints logged in 12 minutes before last goodnight. I was laying my hat on that theory/gradual depressurization(accidental) now I am not so sure.
If the Plane took the flight they believe it did then it seems it deliberately avoided Indonesian Airspace(if it took that path).
I think I may tap out until they find the Black box or at least a significant percentage of the wreckage.
If nothing else this whole ordeal reminds one how small ,fragile & insignificant humans really are .

quote:True. Especially if he wanted his one last act to be something people remembered. Until something like this occurs, who really remembers (outside of the families, etc.) about the EgyptAir flight that the co-pilot put down on its fligth path. But this, with it going so far off course and the difficulty in locating it, will be rememebred for a long time without another aircraft accident to bring it to mind.

Idk why everyone finds it hard to believe this pilot would wait 7 or so hours to create an elaborate mystery/unexplainable story.
Let me ask a simple question, what is 90% of posts on the SECr? Trolling
Maybe this guy just wanted to troll the world on his way out

Simple explanation doesn't seem that complicated. Fire on the flight deck takes out comms and the flight deck oxygen system. Flight deck fills with smoke, crew immediately turns or activates autopilot for nearest long runway. Fire progresses, taking out more systems, flight crew overcome by smoke and fumes, fire burns through hull somewhere, plane decompresses, lack of oxygen extinguishes fire and kills everybody not already dead from smoke. Plane flies on previous course on autopilot until fuel exhausted and goes down.

Possible debris field
This whole thing stinks all to hell.

I gotta say, the black box locator is kinda bunk looking.

The investigation and search haven't proven much anything IMO.

Those satellite photos are insulting. Unbelievable. Unfrickingbelievable. It looks like some shite from the 50's.
I just cannot tell you how completely blown away I am by how full of shite this whole thing is.

They're not showing us everything. Personally, I don't think it ever crashed.

Then on top of that we have seen what 300 pieces of "debris" on these crappy sat images and nobody has picked up one. bullshite it's all bullshite.
I still think this thing was near Maldives I don't know about those pings and the arc.

I know people who can count the hairs on your wife's titties from orbit, and who could have someone or other's arse on top of any of those coordinates in two hours, tops. It's insulting, and given the nature of the lunatic who occupies the White House, I wouldn't be surprised if it was all just a diversion from the Russian failure, since this story is all CNN seems to want to talk about.

Plane is in Pakistan getting a FedEx logo painted on while being loaded down with explosives. Tracking system already removed, ready to slip into an already overburdened air traffic control system.
Or not

quote:No. That's pretty inefficient and highly noticeable. If someone wants to blow up something in America, they have everything they need right here.

I received an official warning earlier today... even though my goofing off wasn't meant to derail the thread.
I think we had a normal flight. The changes in altitude indicate an in-cabin struggle. Pilot is distraught over losing is wife and lover, decides to go suicidal, goes crazy, fights off inexperienced copilot, flies tis thing off unto the unknown without any rhyme or reason as to what happens or the repercussions.

quote:I never thought about that but do they actually leave? Seems easy for someone to just storm the cockpit when they do leave. I fly pretty frequently but never an international flight or never first class so I guess I don't see it or am not on planes long enough. I just figured they had their own restroom or something up there.

Looks like what somebody on the outdoor board would put together at the camp over a case of beer one weekend
