Look at the BREC system. There are parks everywhere. Plenty of public golf courses through the BREC system.
Walk around campus at LSU, then go see Mike the Tiger. He is more active in the mornings when the temp is lower.
BR Zoo (also run by BREC) is not much to look at.
The lakes near LSU's campus are nice for exercise and views of co-eds.
Government Street east of I-110 has lots of restaurants and local shops.
Avoid downtown. Nothing there worth bothering with.

What’s something similar to Memorial Park/Houston, Katy Trail/Dallas, or Town Lake/Austin?

Saw that in high school. Lol. Not looking for tourist stuff just something to do with the later afternoons as I haven’t been through there in years.
Sounds like the LSU lakes are still a go to for walking/running.
Was just curious if there were any new developments as most cities sort of have a lot of options with parks, lake activities, and recreation.

Reminds me….seen a car in Shreve’s Port today with a bullet hole. Looked like 9mm.

Idk if it’s still a thing, but my folks took us to Tunica Falls what felt like every other weekend as kids. I wanna say it’s like an hour away and was a blast

Other than Highland Road Park and a few golf courses, BREC parks are just a tremendous collection of baseball and soccer fields. They do have a huge budget though.

You can play Dodge the bullets. That’s a fun one.

Tell your employer NO.
