A Canadian (like actually from Canada) chain planned to open one in my town, and I think they came to realize that such places are...uh...different, down here and draw a different crowd.
After renovating the space and announcing a grand opening they abandoned it.

Is that where you get one of those Crabbie Patties everyone keeps talking about?

There's a new place that opened kind of near us. It's called "The Wharf Casual Seafood".
Does that mean the shrimp are wearing jorts and T-shirts?

They opened one in south Tuscaloosa a little over a year ago and it just closed. There was never more than a few cars in the parking lot.

There’s a red crab juicy seafood in Tuscaloosa that nobody is ever at. It’s behind the whataburger on Skyland blvd

So Fiery Crab is taking over all of the defunct Macaroni Grill restaurants?

am very selective on where I will go for seafood. I've never been to Joe's Crab Shack, Red Lobster, or any of the other nationwide chains...I guess growing up in S. la has spoiled me.
Something about “chain restaurant seafood” doesn’t sound appealing. Burgers, steaks, chicken yea ok not bad. But seafood has to be fresh and well prepared for me to eat it. Half-arse seafood is disgusting

It’s called belly wash with yak

I also noticed a few of these pop up around the state. They at least look like a semi-legit chain. But, yeah, I'm not going to strip mall juicy seafood.

I avoid these places at all costs for 2 reasons:
I’m allergic to seafood.
I’m doubly allergic to the type of people these restaurants attract.
