Unless they found a note about wanting to see how it feels to kill someone I don't see how anything in his house would be tied to this incident. But I'm no lawyer.

This. Normand didn't go into details, but based on what we learned last week I thought Gasser would walk without a charge. I think assuming that the new information is significant and bad for Gasser is a safe bet.
so you go from him walking to now going to jail for a long time. lol
some of you are comical in these threads

Newell mentioned some witness info didn't completely match up with Gasser's statements. Makes you wonder but... still in all McKnight still was at Gasser's vehicle. JPSO probably has the charge correct based on unknown intel at this time i would guess.

It's amazing that this idiot was charged for road rage at the exact same intersection 10 years ago.

Yeah it sounded like they just searched it because he gave them consent to do so. I'm sure Gasser thought it was useless and wanted to appear as forthcoming as possible.

Soulja Slim said it a long ago

Black man kill a white man, they sentencing him to death
White man kill a black man, they hollering bout self defense
Break it down to manslaughter with all of the evidence"

Yeah manslaughter seems fitting given it was essentially all one rage-filled event.
McKnight shouldn't have exited his vehicle because there is no good that can come from it, but he certainly didn't deserve to die as a result.

No clue what they were hoping to find but I'd assume that is standard practice. Normand said they didn't find anything that was cause for concern but if they found a cache of AR-15s then he would have had concern. Not sure what that means, exactly.
He said if they would have found that, they would have been more concerned about him being an escape risk.

I think most thought he would walk after the initial press conference. Now he's charged with manslaughter. Seems pretty obvious the evidence/statements since then haven't gone his way, no?

Normand won't answer whether Joe entered the vehicle or not.
Thats really the only vital question at this point.
It'll determine whether Gasser gets a guilty verdict or not.

Alright. Personal opinion time - Gasser is screwed. He MAY get off if he gets a VERY good lawyer but that is going to take an absolute artist to prevent him from being convicted of manslaughter.
No it doesn't. I'm not a lawyer and I can get him off easily, all his lawyer has to say is that McKnight threatened Gasser with the gun or in some way made Gasser believe McKnight was going to shoot him. With a gun found, its easily an excuse for Gasser to shoot. Easily. At worst, hung jury.

No, I don't think most thought that. A few on here take the little info that is given and run with it all the way to whatever the end result would be.

What are the chances that Gasser is a hot head but is now remorseful? Seems to be basically fully cooperating? Is it possible he simply admits to the crime and does 1-2 years easy time?

Most in the thread certainly did. I can't speak for the higher beings that just pop in to poke fun at us.

If he states, or has stated that McKnight held up the gun at some point in traffic and if McKnight had a hand in his pocket etc. I think it is very possible.
But I was a marketing major.

my issue is more with the people who immediately started freaking when they didn't immediately charge him with something. If those morons weren't so interested in getting in front of a camera to pop to stir shite up they'd realize why it was done. For the NAACP to come out and call it a lynching was laughable...and they wonder why people roll their eyes every time they speak.

Based on what we know now, I would have a hard time not convicting him.

But you failed to mention Glasser who admittedly got irritated when he was cut off and took off after McKnight
and still would have never been shot had he stayed in vehicle. Own fault.. sometimes lessons are learned the hard way. Maybe this will be an example for some. Stay in your vehicle
