Saw one a awhile back on I 10 coming from Donaldsonville to Gonzales... It was an accident guy in a truck I think was on his way to work.. Truck was still in the right lane the door was open and he was laying on the ground out of the door... Saw his face.. Never will forget that.. It was my first.. I later found out he was married and had a daughter... I couldn't imagine something like that..

My neighbor killed himself after a standoff with the cops. Saw them roll him out after.

Worse one was last year in Destin. Saw lifeguards haul an old guy out of the surf under red flags. Got carried out by rip current. They were giving him compressios for what seemed like 10 minutes. Then put him in a truck and drive him right by us while still giving compressions. His legs were blue. Had to sheild the kids eyes from that one.

5th grade, 10 years old, was on a family vacation to the motherland (vietnam) and saw a motorcyclist speed, hit the back of a taxi, flung over, land on the windshield, roll and get ran over. Pool of blood all over the ground, my side came to a standstill and I just stared blankly according to my mom. I remember that, but everything else after it I can't remember. Next memory was getting to the restaurant.

10th grade, saw my neighbor 2 doors over hang herself from the garage ceiling. Body was dangling and all.

Crazy shite, but I'm just desensitized to it now, I worked with cadavers and I'm not fazed.

In what seemed like years, but actually was only a 10 day period.

Second on scene- 14 yr old girl not wearing seat belt. Mother turns in front of coming traffic. Daughter is thrusted into dash board.

Second on scene- elderly woman walking on side of road decides to cross. Struck by vehicle 3 ahead of me. An off duty nurse from the car in front of me asked for help in aiding until EMS arrives. While I am constantly checking for pulse, she stops beating. The report said she died in the Air med. I know better.

First group on scene- an elderly couple is hit by a crossing cement truck at 50mph. Wife is hanging out of passenger door window, 1/2 in, 1/2 out. Husband thrown against her from driver side. Both dead on impact. Later found out. The wife was having chest pains and was being brought to hospital less than 200 yards away.

Each picture haunts me still today. I have trouble remembering moments from the birth of my children, but remember every detail from all 4 of those deaths.

Seen plenty, probably in the dozens, and have actually been the last person to talk to two of them. Baton Rouge is a killing field.

Yes, came upon a single car accident immediately after the vehicle hit a tree. The driver was dead and her face was split open. Pretty sad......

Saw my Dad dead on a metal table at the funeral parlor before they dressed him up. It is stuck in my mind forever.

I've only ever witnessed people being murdered/killed on the internet, but i've seen my fair share of dead bodies. My grandfather's life partner passed away about 2 months ago (they were together for 35 years). One of my wife's sisters (from the Big Brother, Big Sister Program) was killed in a dune buggy accident at the age of 14 last year. I've also seen many open caskets while serving in our base Honor Guard program. had a couple of active duty funerals, but mostly retiree's.

Train hit a car in front of our car in Shreveport. My dad was a fireman then and rushed to the car. I was 11 years old and a Scout. Of course I was going to help. As I was getting out, my Mom was imploring me to stay in the car. Wish I had. I ran over and my Dad couldn't stop me in time. The driver was decapitated and his chest was ripped open. It was (and still is) the most gruesome live scene of fresh death I've witnessed.
