Cancer got him
Dilbert is still one of my favorite comics, and the man was a smart cookie. He will be missed

The side by side portrait is great. Someone will AI him into a white shirt with that same tie, I hope.

It’s crazy how many good jobs boomers got rid of instead of letting millenials have them. To think that a millennial could work in a factory or be a cartoonist and own a home was terrifying to them

Dilbert cartoon debut was April 16, 1989.
Drew Carey's debut on television was performing his stand-up on The Tonight Show in November 1991. Later, he appeared on Season 1 Episode 16 of "The Torkelsons" - which aired on February 16, 1992. His show "Drew Carey: Human Cartoon" was released on October 2, 1993.

How many other people always heard rumors that he had friends at your company and used their stories as inspiration…
I was with Amoco and by god we were dilbertized into non existence. We definitely had rumors of a Denver office connection..
Enjoyed his work.. got me to chuckle on a bad day at the office many times.
