I have a 1992 Christmas Wish Book on my shelf now. Get it out every year with my kids around this time.

Much better quality than the nude natives in The National Geographic in the school library.

Today’s catalogs are uninspiring and unrelatable.

Yep! Still have Darth Vader's Tie Fighter. One of the few things that actually survived. My Mom gave most of the Star Wars stuff I had to my cousin

Being a kid in the 80's was awesome.
I miss it.

Man, the Christmas version of the Sears or JC Penny catalog was hours of entertainment.
My fondest year was the Karate Kid figures and the house where you could kick out the windows. Also the Voltron years. I remember stressing out as a young BabyTac that I wouldn’t get all the lions necessary.

Can’t say I never jerked it to a Sears catalog, but once the 90s hit it was checking the mail for the Victoria Secret magazine. Golden pot was when you got off the bus first and found the Chadwick’s of Boston. Those were the cream of the crop.

By far the best decade. Kids these days are missing out on so much. My daughter and I looked at the some of the old wishbooks last night and she was mad they didn't have that

My grannie had the 1983 - 1986 Wishbooks saved for me and my brothers to peruse whenever we came over and stayed with her and my paw paw. I had the action figure and sports stuff pages basically memorized.
Such profound memories.
