I wanted to have my day in court but got busy at work and decided it wasn't worth it and figured the judge wouldn't have heard a word I said before siding with the POS cop.
When I got married a year or so later, I went and paid the $20 fine because I had an image in my head that I could get arrested at the airport if they had a bench warrant out for my arrest!

All the boot licking safety sniveling pussies in here send their kids to school on a bus with no seatbelts.
I give zero shits if someone has a seatbelt on or not, if they are 18+. Under 18, what in the holy frick?
Surprised the cop didnt rip you out of your vehicle and beat the frick out of you to keep you safe. Serve and protect or else!! Meanwhile just about every cop video I ever see has some roid raging prick hauling arse with no seatbelt tapping on a computer and going 70 mph over the speed limit while looking through 1% tint. For our safety of course.
PS. I always wear my seatbelt because I want to, not because some a-hole made it a law. I also buy expensive tires. Expensive tires save lives. We should have laws! Moore laws!! Save people from themselves (and collect fines if they dont let us help them!).

Got pulled over recently in Hammond by LSP. Trooper walked up, I handed him my ID, and he asked "is there a reason you're not wearing your seatbelt?"
I said "because I dont want to"
He handed my back my ID, said "have a nice day... and you need an inspection sticker", then walked back to his SUV and drove off. It was odd.
