It was black as night a few min ago, now we are having heavy rain but it's not as dark outside (still pretty dark, but not as dark)

Also light scattering from the rain makes it brighter when it's raining. Similar to how after a rain storm the sun seems brighter due to the light scattering from the higher humidity.

Many of the problems we see now began in Kip’s last term.

The pension issues, lack of cops and low pay, the out of control deeer project, the decline in population, the COA election, and the discord regarding SG.

And don’t forget the TRAM and Kip’s futuristic development down by the river that got shot down.

Tree fell on KA house at LaTech, as well as the major damage to the softball field and other buildings.

WWL RADIO just announced Jazz Fest is going to open the gates at 12:30 and start playing music right before the next round of strong storms come through.

So far, basically to script. Some severe storms, a couple of brief tornadoes. Mostly rain. Second line is forming up as it gets into Baton Rouge area, watching the north and south of the lake this afternoon for much of the same. Brief spin ups in the line possible, maybe some bow echo straight line winds but nothing extreme.

March 23rd is the Louisiana Derby Day and Jazz Fest literally starts setting up the very next day

They’ve even moved that back a week to be 6 weeks out from derby and they still start piling things up in the infield a week before.

Reports about the two deaths:

By that hotel in a house, a 17 year old boy was laying across his mother to protect her and they both died.

Damn, sucks.

It was a surprisingly eventful storm back in Texas also with tons of flooding and a tornado in Bryan and a possible tornado in the Gilmer area along with the long tracked one that affected Ruston starting around San Augustine on the TX side of Toledo Bend.

May have had a tornado briefly touchdown just south of Kiln. Circle in the bottom right image shows possible tornadic debris signature. This lines up with the tree damage that was reported in Hancock county.

I used to work for one of the major equipment rental companies that supplied all the trucks, forklifts, manlifts, light towers generators, etc....this was about 12 years ago...and we would start delivering equipment that very next day....the horses and trailers were still on site.

It was nice because JF was my account and we would give them huge discounts and in return would receive 200 or so free passes.

The Motel 6 off the interstate. Tore off the roof to it. Luckily no one was killed in the second floor of it.
