They would just steal it like they do the lottery and casino taxes

Like how Edwin Edwards said all of the tax dollars generated from the casino boats at the time was going to go to education.. But it went everywhere but education?

With that said, that isn't a reason for it to not be legal. Personally, I think all drugs should be legal. Making something illegal isn't going to stop people from using and if sold legally, people can buy it knowing what they are getting and it takes some of the demand off the streets.

But like anything else, sadly we can't do much about how pathetic politicians use tax dollars, that isn't a reason people shouldn't have the right to engage in marijuana.

There are a lot of very good jobs out there. Middle class salary and benefits that people can’t get because of drug testing.

A lot of them still test even if its legal.

Should be treated just as alcohol is. Grown adults should be able to choose to use it. If you come to work stoned or drunk, you’re fired. Of you’re irresponsible with it, there will be repercussions

Most of them do because Liability Insurance doesn’t care what the law says.

State with a crazy number of injury lawyers and legalized weed is problematic.

I had to take a drug test when I started my job, but I haven't taken another one since in 11 years. I'd have passed one at any time anyway though. I smoked it a fair amount when I was in my teens and early 20s but it just doesn't have any appeal to me anymore.

Legalize it and tax the shite out of it

And keep it underground. Drug dealers are happy by this news too. It wouldn’t shock me if the cartels pay for this kind of support too

You seem to under some delusion that middle class jobs aren’t being performed by people they consume thc. I think many would be shocked at the numbers and professions of people using thc. From engineers to lawyers all the way to doctors and large industry executives including ownership. We all know old stereotypes about the cocktails of professionals from years past but it’s common ti include pot into that conversation these days. It’s just a reality not emotion

We need an active THC test. Once that happens, there should be no more reason at all to keep weed illegal

You mean the people who make money off of criminalization didn't want to lose their revenue stream?

Don't forget the legislators that are part or full owners of the only 11 legal dispensaries around the state. No way they would allow free market competition.

I used to be pro legalization and I guess I am, but I don't like how in states where it's legal people just smoke it on the street.

Make it legal to buy, use, but illegal to use in public.

I don't want to smell that shite or have my kids around it.
