This will make for a great new episode of The First 48.

But for some reason this statement right here really speaks volumes about things.

This is the most asinine idea that ever came out of the heated imagination of a fevered mind - that a community which is continually subjected to abuses by the armed muscle of the state would help the state conduct an investigation when doing so often times ends with the state accusing the helpful of the crime being investigated or some other crime which they may or may not be guilty of. Treat people with disrespect, constantly interacting with them in an aggressive fashion and doing simple things like detaining them while you search their vehicle because they have a tail light out, hoping to find any reason to toss them in jail, and those people are highly likely to not trust the motives of the state when they are being questioned.

I ain't offering the state ANY assistance of any sort and I am not subjected to the type of police presence that those in low income neighborhoods are subject to. I am not calling the police because someone is acting suspicious because acting suspicious is not illegal. I have eliminated our doorbell camera because I am not going to be complicit in the state's policing efforts until such time that the state proves it can be trusted, and we are a LONG way from that. They have taken an "us against them" stand and being part of "them" I am not about to assist the state until they lose that attitude...and they ain't ever going to lose that attitude.

More reasonable than the state whining about the people not cooperating when the state has abused and harassed the people for simply living their lives....

Those shootings are inauthentic if they weren't done in Galveston.
