I remember those days. Cherish every moment of it as long as you can because it will fly by faster than you can imagine. Mine will be 19 tomorrow and I can remember her laying on my chest sleeping as infant as I played PS2 like it was yesterday. Good luck to you and your family. Hope y'all stay safe and healthy.

Congrats Dad.
Do your best to keep her off the pole.
Kidding.
I had the same experience you did. My first child was a daughter and it was great, scary, emotional, exciting, and hopeful all at one time. Lots of feelings about this topic as my little girl is away at college. It goes by fast but it is well worth it.
Your relationship with your wife will grow closer as well.
Best of luck and don’t get angry over the small things. Keep the big picture in focus.

Congrats! I remember the infant days very well. My twins are almost 2 1/2 now, they are girls as well. They have me wrapped around their finger no doubt. Time def flies by. I kind of miss those hard times as weird as that may sound. Stay positive and things will be great.

Who woulda thought watching someone sleep could be so enjoyable?!?
It is truly gratifying to watch a newborn sleep. Same applies even as they get older. Mine just started high school but I still enjoy that. Will miss it when he moves out. kids truly are blessings
Congrats!!

Congratulations! That little girl is casting her spell on you and stealing your heart. There is nothing like a baby girl! I have my first granddaughter and I am totally captivated. Very happy for you and your wife.

If done right, this is how parenting should feel.
Congratulations to you and mom! I have 4 and each one presents his/her own dilemmas...but being a dad is what I do best in life.

You will look back in 10 years and wonder what you ever did with your time before the child was born.

I still remember the first time my daughter rambled over to me to grab my leg when i walked in the door from work. I was smitten.

Not to steal your thunder, but I am in the same boat. We got home with our first yesterday afternoon.
She's the most amazing little girl I have ever seen, and I can't believe how lucky I am. My wife is currently asleep in the recliner with our baby on her chest.
Congratulations to you, and I wish the three of you the best.

Congratulations! It’s a pretty damn amazing experience. That little life that you helped create is there now for you to love unconditionally and take care of.
My first was a girl and we have always been close. When she was young her mom was very sick for a while and I took care of her much more than I guess a normal dad would.
She’s a Sr now in high school and is going to be heading off to college soon.

To the OP, enjoy every moment. My girls are now 16 and 14 and it seems like just yesterday they were little. Time flies and there is no stopping it. Soak in every single moment.

I've got a 2 year old and 2 month old. We're all snuggled together on the couch letting mom sleep in. It's the best thing in the world.
