Be neighborly. Take a break from watching the View later this morning and walk across the street and bag up all the leaves for both neighbors.

What does the OT do?

Run over them with the mower while using the mulching plug. It's about the same amount of time and energy as mowing, it helps the lawn and it counts as "doing chores" (for those with wives).

Maybe if there's a ton of them, but usually running the mower over them every week or two will break them down, and it will actually be good for the soil.

The guy blowing the leaves is right. Thankfully I don’t have this problem but my dads neighbor has a junk tree in his front yard he refuses to cut down because he’s a cheapskate. His leaves shite all over my dads driveway and cars. I blow them onto his lawn every single time.

Eta: lotta douchebags in here. If someone elects to cut all their trees down so they won’t have to worry about leaves why should they have to clean up leaves from their neighbors junk trees? The neighbor with the tree is a lazy frick.

And when the storm drains stop working, your neighbors can thank you when they are sweeping water out of their houses after a heavy rainfall.

This. Can christmas tree guy identify which particular leaves comes from neighbor?

It's a tree. Rake em up and get over it.

I run them over with my mulching mower. More fertilizer. Everybody has trees in my neighborhood. If it’s on your lawn, then it’s yours to deal with.

No one can control the wind or where the leaves blow. If you’re going to spend all the energy to blow them back into someone’s yard, why not just pick them up? The wind will blow them right back into your yard.

There is a difference between somebody's tree blowing leaves into your yard, and somebody who doesn’t clean up the leaves on their lawn and having those leaves blown onto your yard.

Dealing with the latter can get annoying since I can see the leaves on your lawn, I know that they will eventually blow into my yard, but I can’t pick them up until they do blow over. So now instead of spending one afternoon raking up all the leaves, I have to spend 5 or 6 afternoons picking up the leaves as they slowly matriculate over to my yard.

This is NEVER the right choice. Neighborhood or Commercial Space....I'm not sure when yard maintenance college started teaching this method, but its lazy and crazy. Driving down the road and some jack azz is blowing everything into the road.

One of those things that has bothered me more and more as I get older.

As to the OP, both neighbors seem to be pricks. If I knew my neighbor was having his big Christmas party, I'd be helping to pick up any mess caused by my trees.

Neighbor to the North of me has huge Magnolia tree and its leaves are always in my yard....no biggie, cause we're cool and nice to each other.

Neighbor to my South has a dying River Birch Tree near our fence line that drops dead sticks and leaves into our back yard and pool. I've offered to pay to cut it down several times. He says no because he "likes the tree". He's a prick.

Whats the point here? Don't be a prick to your neighbors.

My dogs like grabbing the big leaves and running around in circles with them. So, I just leave them. I only blow off the deck and patio areas.

My little picks it up by the stem and has this big leaf sticking out the side of his mouth as he trots around.

My word - why blow them back in his yard? One big wind and they are right back in his yard. Just bag or mulch them up. Petty crap.

Blowing the leaves back??? What a POS.

Glad the neighbor drove up in time to see it.

You are responsible for your yard, not your neighbor's.

Christmas party dude needs his arse whipped by the neighbor with the tree.

Not only are tree leaves free falling, but there's no way to know that every leaf being blown came from that one tree unless it's the only tree for miles.

It happens to me every year both ways. I clean my yard, and my neighbors tree across the street drops leaves again. Not his fault. It's a fricking tree, it has leaves, and wind blows. In all directions.

And my tree drop leaves, and they blow, in all directions.

Just keep cleaning your yard like civilized people do, until all the leaves have dropped off.

The man with the pristine yard wasted more time blowing the leaves that if would have just mulched them with the mower.

Mulching is the way to go.

Yeah, If i were the neighbor and I wanted to be a dick back I'd come over during the Christmas party and start blowing/raking his trees leaves from the front porch and whatnot. Say, Im just being neighborly and picking up my leaves as you requested.
