Once again, I'm 33 and not missing work for any kind of disability.
I had my headphones in listening to music every time and was also wearing gloves, so quickly taking out my phone and getting a pic of them was out of the question. Next time I'm mowing I'll be ready though, but up until today I thought I might just be a little paranoid.

Only real answer I have for you is that they’re casing your house for a robbery. Might want to check up on the security of your home. Maybe I’m way off base, but who knows. Seems kind of weird they would do that so blatantly, but people can be strange.

Is there anything unusual about your house? For example, is it a historical house or does it have some type of unique architecture?

This advice sounds like the beginning of the Ahmaud Arbery scenario, all it needs is a bit of aggressive and unnecessary escalation.
If you're going to confront somebody and bring a gun to the show, make sure you know when it's legally justifiable to use your weapon.
