I remember the smell of paper plants from St. Francisville. I grew up in North Baton Rouge and you knew fall/winter was here when the paper smell was pushed south.

Drott’s bakery on Roussel street in Houma. Next door to my grandparents. The smell of the bread baking every morning was the best!!

I still love the smell of Vick’s salve. Sometimes when I have insomnia, I’ll put a little under my nostrils, and it helps me fall asleep. I think the nostalgia of that scent takes me back to a simpler time, childhood in the 1970’s.

One of the reasons I don't mind 2nd hand smoke (outside only) is because the first thing I think of when I smell it is going to LSU baseball games with my dad in the 80s.

Phisoderm face wash. Smelled it at my parents house this weekend and I was like, "I know that smell."
My mom said she washed my arse with it when I was a baby. I'm 47 now.

We had several dogs, and the smell of a freshly cut hidden and crusted-over turd while cutting the grass was nauseating.

Eh? I thought that can of magic shavings was the universal janitor's vomit tonic.

Ours looked like shavings as well. A red mulch color.
