Yeah it isn't bad. I'm really curious about how much damage this storm does. Development has really exploded in a lot of vulnerable areas, like Daniel Island.

Remind us so much of the NewOrleans we grew up with (minus Bourbon St and Mardi Gras)

Hope you get it back soon. No A/C in the South is never fun. I've been out for 6+ days a couple of times.
Florida power has over 675,000 customers out currently. A little over 975,000 were affected by Matthew.

Astronomical tide in coming back in along GA, SC coasts. High tides are between midnight and 2 or 3 AM. Storm tide is still rising. Maximum storm tides will be generated over the next several hours.

The limited information that I've been able to get about my place at St Augustine beach is that it got about 3 ft of water.
The island is closed off and there is no timeline for it to open.
What should I expect?
What tools and equipment should I bring to gut this place fast.
I'm thinking: generator, saws all, circular saw, shovels, broom, pry bar, hammers, garbage bags, pressure washer, gas.
You guys have any more suggestions.

Box cutter type knives to score the Sheetrock. Chalk line helpful.
Mosquito dope. First aid kit. Lots of water, gas, batteries.

Oh damn. I just can't get over this storm. We just spent a week on Tybee/Savannah in September. I pray for all the locals.

How's it looking in Charleston currently?
Posted on 10/7/16 at 7:51 pm to CockyTime
I'm seeing 10-15. A few gusts in the 40s and spuratic rain showers but overall not bad.
And the Tigers are blowing out BC.
ALL IN all not bad.

I think they are in more trouble than Savannah, because of the angle of the storm when it hits. They'll get those winds on the north side of the eyewall...plus all the rain before and during...and then you got the surge.

I'm getting the same. Still have plenty of power here. Wonder if it's out at my house yet.
