screens are more addictive than substances.

Also, vapes have replaced cigs.

Recreational use of prescription drugs is a glaring omission for that chart.

This is why those numbers are down. Kids stay home and on their phone. In the past you had to actually go out to talk to people by going to parties and shite.

Does that just mean that teens now are using different drugs, not necessarily less drugs?

For sure. Their substance use is probably just dispersed over more diverse and non-traditionally reported substances such as as vape liquids, benzos, opiods, synthetics, etc.

Whats strange is in 76 go look at historical pics very few are fat.

And look at all the woke BS nowadays compared to 76.

Maybe we need to increase use of all 3 to wash the woke stench off?

I was in high school from 1994 to 1998 and people were using everything. A to Z. Alcohol, Ecstasy, Coke, Acid, Weed, Pills, Special K, Steroids, etc.

It was an awesome time to grow up.

In other news, researchers have found that current high school seniors are less forthcoming than those of generations past.

Special K

Saw a couple snort that in the back room of a bar one night…they put the plate out for takers, but everyone saw how fricked up they were and passed on the offer.

Concur, weed was everywhere int he 70s.

Pansies these days with their "weed is everywhere, I hate the smell," would have never made it 50 years ago.

95% of the OT will absolutely refuse to believe this because "EVERYTHING WAS BETTER BACK IN THE DAY. PEOPLE ARE TRASHIER TODAY." Even the very first reply to the post was a user denying this could be true.

Pretty sure the legal drinking age was 18 (everywhere) in 1976. Was not uncommon for Seniors to pop a cooler open in the parking lot on a Friday afternoon and legally down a few Schlitz before heading out to the Aerosmith concert.

Doing most of those drugs at 18 almost guarantees a mountain of problems as an adult

Yeah it was likely all of them from what I recall. Or damn near. Funny how now it's legal and not nearly as many people are smoking.

Sounds like bullshite.

As a high schooler from 2000-2003, this graph has alcohol way too high, weed too low and tobacco probably about right.
