ESA is chuckling.

Kind of what I was thinking. ESA and Ascension are much more expensive with much smaller classes.

But if your kids go to STM they can literally get away with murder...so consider that in your decision.

It is not convenient to anything and traffic makes it 10x worse now. Youngsville or Milton would be better choices

If you live in this area paying the tuition for TCH or STM is not an issue. And if you're not in the gifted program, Lafayette is a shitty school

Nice try. Sent my son to Lafayette High. He’s currently at Carnegie Mellon, working on his Masters.

You should gave STM a better shot. The alumni director is Danny Broussard, a man who can make friends with ANYONE.

Danny was there when I was a sophomore in 1983. Dude must be pushing 70...

Teurlings but I'm biased. 99 Graduate. Either one really. My daughter is in the gifted program at Paul Breaux right now. It's a shite show. Security at the school is god awful, and so are the clientele (parents, students, and teachers). I've already contacted the School Board on any options for my daughter to stay in the gifted program, but get out of Mogadishu. So we have a decision to make. Either pause Gifted until Lafayette high and get her back at LJ Alleman for the time being, or enroll her at St Genevieve Middle...because the school board isn't going to do a damn thing about Paul Breaux being the gifted school and warzone.

All the toughness of the Northside, without the crippling economic depression. While STM kids are dodging Panda Express traffic, Teurlings kids are dodging bullets.

I like to think in an alternate reality, they chose home schooling, and joined a cult.

If your kids don’t care about competitive sports, John Paul the Great Academy on Carmel Dr is a great, small independent school. The parents that send their kids there are truly wholesome families. It’s structured around classical teaching methods in a strong Catholic setting.

They are still working out some kinks, and the school isn’t for everyone, but I believe in their mission and currently send 3 kids there.

The gifted program was placed there intentionally to raise the overall school testing average because of the Somalians.

They’re not giving that up because your kid got punched in the nose by a 15 year-old 7th grader.

I couldn’t imagine sending my kid into that school for French Immersion or gifted, having to be around all of those hoodlums on a daily basis
