It must not drive Henley nuts, because Walsh is a huge part of the Sphere show, and sings his solo songs as well.

Bro, Don Felder was not a founding member of the Eagles.

You’re correct, I misspoke and apologize. He was an equal partner and had equal ownership in the corporation that was the Eagles. And he refused to give them back to Don and Glenn, or negotiate any other deal. That’s why they “booted” him.

They found out they could boot him from performing, but not from his equal share of the corporation.

I believe Randy and Bernie surrendered them back at no cost. They wanted out.

I said that because Henley and Frey are/were two of the biggest egomaniacs, control freaks, and assholes in that business, they're just a cover band now and I'm sure Henley's smart enough to realize that Walsh puts asses in the seats more so than anyone

No more than any other classic rock band.

They still have 3 members of 50+ years, which is the same as the Rolling Stones and more than Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Journey. I don't see anyone calling any of them cover bands.

The tour The Weeknd is on has made over a billion dollars thus far. He just made a billion dollar deal for his music catalog. He has more songs with over a billion streams than any other artist. He could do a long residency at The Sphere without breaking a sweat. It will happen eventually, his music is too connected to Vegas for it not to happen.

I know I’m just fricking with you.
He’d fill it up no problem

Whenever he does play The Sphere, I'll make my first trip to Vegas.

I've tried to like him, mainly because of your posts and you are a respected Music Board contributor. But I just can't get into it.

That's fine, there's no requirement to like his music. His music has evolved remarkably over the years, mixtape era, club era, Trilogy era, Beauty Behind the Madness and Starboy, and now the After Hours, Dawn FM, Hurry Up Tomorrow trilogy. I've talked about it before, The Weeknd is a fictional persona, almost like a cinematic character that plays out in his music. I find it interesting conceptually as the character evolves. There's no one else in pop doing anything like it.

Damn shame Steuart Smith is no longer able to tour with them. Smith was recenlty diagnosed with "Parkinsonism".

Steuart is one hell of a great lead guitarist and if I'm not mistaken, has been with the Eagles since Felder left. He and Walsh are great together.

Damn cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and ALS.

Prayers for you Steuart, you're one of the greats.

Steuart Smith
