With all the shitty tattoos, man buns and food colored hair it is not hard to understand how these idiots can leave one feeling as though the cost is not worth the value.
It usually isn't. When it is, there's no question and I don't give a frick if it's a literal dog back there searing the meat.
If you don't like it, cook it yourself.
We usually go to a restaurant because we don't feel like cooking and we want to be around other humans, at least momentarily.

All restaurants have that employee demographic

Why are you so judgmental? You sound awful.

as long as they wash their hands and practice some level (hopefully a high one) of hygiene, its all good.

Also willing to bet OP bitches about people sitting on unemployment and collecting a check despite being able to work. But would rather they not be employed where he frequents.
If they’re working and doing the job well, who gives a frick.

Service and quality has been down across the board at the restaurants I go to. High end and low end. Bidenomics has not been good to them.

Maybe have enough reading skills to see that I said cost does not compute to value. You can express yourself with guages and knit hats and torn clothes while delivering value but most are telling us that we can pay four times what it costs us to put in the effort but they are not the one who will give the effort either. We are left with no choices, cook ourselves or eat shitty food

Imake an impeccable Beef Wellington.
What we've seen recently are pick up orders that are missing parts of meals although very neatly packaged to go so not just left off.
At a local chain grocery, where on a certain day of the week fresh hamburger is an excellent price, we are not the only people buying multiple packages of the burger. The checker double range a package of meat and as I was stowing groceries I had my husband check the car to make sure one hadn't escaped. It hadn't; the receipt showed two identical packages. They gave us a credit for our next visit. Then yesterday, my husband noticed they did the same thing to the guy in front of him (the guy had been talking about how much it cost to feed protein to three teenaged boys.) My husband pointed it out, the clerk has shocked he had done that and my husband saved the guy from paying for a ghost 2 1/2 pounds of hamburger.
It made us wonder how often that happens UNNOTICED.

this is true with everything.

Why would anyone pay repeatedly for shitty food or frequent restaurants that serve shitty food?
This is the worst time for you to be going out to eat with the way food prices have skyrocketed and restaurants struggling just to staff them.

The staffing issue happened before Biden and then got sent into hyperdrive afterwards

I find the best chefs don’t have tattoos - find those restaurants

Chef Massimo Bottura, of the universally considered best restaurant in the world Osteria Francescana. Maybe YOU need to find better restaurants.

Unless you’re eating at a greasy spoon, most restaurants hire highly creative people- these are the chefs & line cooks. With creative expression in food, it’s not surprising that these people also express their creativity in how they look. If you want less expressive people, your food will likely follow suit. Then you can complain that the food & menu is boring, which I have no doubt you’ll do.
