They're too dumb to realize that when they do dumb shite, people start looking to their dealings. Nobody would've cared about those BRAVE contracts if Silky Slim wouldnt have made those comments at the council meeting, then SWB cancels his contract right after the media made a FOIA request regarding it.

No, if she distances herself too far from these de facto NBR leaders/voices, she won't be able to stand on her own. Hell, Denise Marcelle is attacking her because she rebuked SS for saying that murdering cops is justified.
This is one of the major problems in the black community in a nutshell. They'll ostracize and belittle anyone not "keepin it 100" and continue their death spiral. Unfortunately, an entire city will be brought down with them.

he made those comments after she got hit with the public records request so he puled that stupid stunt so she could denounce him. he's the one who is still advising her as to what she should be doing. but her attempt at fixing things backfired miserably
