not for mandates, but if my job is at risk Jesus just get the shot. It’s not the hill to die on.

Everyone’s hill is different. And it also depends on financial situation and job outlook.

I guess you'd have a point if vaccine mandates haven't been around in some form since the American Revolution.

How many were pushed as a condition of employment? How many were pushed for viruses where anyone below 50 has a 98%+ chance of surviving? How many were pushed where only certain people had to get one because of arbitrary factors like number of employees?

I love when people use a word because their favorite political pundit used it, but have no idea what it means

I was watching some CNN YouTube clip this weekend and some clown on there called Tucker Carlson a "white nationalist". I started thinking about it and I think maybe calling him "literally Hitler" might have been the better move. Is there really anything negative about being white or putting your country's interests above that of others?

Smallpox had a mortality rate of 30% during the American Revolution and Washington was absolutely terrified of it because he had it during his youth. The paintings don't show it, but his face showed telltale signs of it with particularly bad scars on his nose.

His army was already on the ropes and the last thing he needed was for it to be absolutely annihilated by a disease. Had Covid-19 existed in 1777, most of his men probably wouldn't have been affected by it because none of them were particularly overweight and elderly.

Bed shortages aren’t the current talking point. We’re on to staffing shortages because we’re firing unvaxxed staffers.

Try to keep up.

You kind of have to wonder how much they’d have even noticed COVID was around in the 18th century

I mean yeah.
That’s pretty much my point.
I’m not willing to lose my income for taking a vaccine.
It’s about as harmful and harmless as the flu shot.
But, for kids, I’d like a whole lot more research and evidence it won’t make my kids sterile or have autism.

It still doesn't change the fact that I think they are selfish assholes.

I was talking with my neighbor yesterday, he was in vietnam. He said before they left to go to Vietnam, they vaccinated everyone. They gave you five vaccines at once, then you move on. He says there were people who didn't feel well the next day, but he said he doesn't even remember them telling them what the vaccines were for.

There is a virus, they are trying to stop the spread and trying to keep people from getting as sick as possible.

If they can't just simply take the vaccine then frick them.

It would be for the greater good for you to pay a 75% tax rate. Do you want a child left behind?
