I would.
Then you're obviously OK with SJW's shutting down free speech at public institutions as well. Glad we've got that cleared up.

I mean, I don't really care personally. Just funny that those people don't see that they are taking a page out of the SJW playbook. We can agree to disagree.
Agree to disagree indeed.

But let me ask you this: If Leonard Fournette (or shite, some 3rd or 4th string black player) knelt in protest during the anthem this saturday would you want them kicked off the team/scholarship revoked? Would you support others who felt that way even if you personally didn't feel those players should be punished?
Kicked off the team? No. But if I was the coach, I wouldn't permit any political demonstrations from anybody on the field during gamedays.
Off the field they'd be free to say and do as they please.

Sounds like their triggering has triggered you.
I'm having trouble keeping up with the triggerers and triggerees at this point, tbh

I am anti protest especially when facts don't support the protest

"Yeah, I don't want to kneel forever. I want these things to change. I do know it'll be a process and it's not something that’s going to change overnight," Kaepernick said. "But I think there are some major changes that we can make that are very reasonable."
So what are his ideas? What is he doing about it besides kneeling? He wants someone else to do the dirty work while he stays on his knees?
If he doesn't want to be oppressed and wants to be heard then get off your lazy arse and do something about it.

Then you say...
quote:
quote:I am anti free speech when I don't agree with the speech
Which is not all what he said. They're protesting on a false narrative and sheer opinion/feelings. There is no factual evidence supporting the oppression because it doesn't exist.

And none of those athletes will actually do anything but demonstrate defiance of the normal and established protocol of the NA on TV.

Just to give an update to this thread, there's now a thread on the MSB asking why Rapinoe hasn't been kicked off the US team for kneeling during the Anthem.
So triggering that someone makes a statement that hurts their little feelings. Let's kick that person off the team so we can get the message across that triggering displays of protest are too much to handle for some and must be punished.

Kaepernick's "protest" had almost nothing to do with a social conscience. After Chip Kelly's experience in Philly, Kaepernick knew he was vulnerable on racial matters. Funny how he started protesting when his job was on the line. A cynical, hypocritical move just daring to cut him.
