It’s like losing a dog. You have to go get yourself another even if you don’t feel it right now.

You wanna know when you really don’t get over it? When you lose em in a car crash the night you weren’t with them because you are sick. And she went out with her friend and didn’t return.

We were sixteen. Best friends and a couple since grade school. She was everyone’s friend and a smile that could bring world peace.

And all these years later… one nighters.. several girlfriends.. an engagement that was called off… and now marriage with kids… I still drive by that cemetery when I’m out driving around and see that tall black monument on the hill with her signature she used to sign her letters with and the Pom poms with “I love to cheer” etched in the granite on the back.

That’s what you never get over. You have finality. It’s when you can’t say goodbye that rots your soul.

I got my heart broken in 2007. It happens. Just move on, drink a lot and find someone better.

It was around Christmas time during college. I subsisted on Vodka and Aaron Neville’s Christmas CD. Woke up 3 days later, ate a quadruple Baconater, and got on with life.

Been married for 10 years with a good job and 2 kids to someone better, while that old flame is divorced and stuck with a low paying job in a town with no future.

Never dwell, baw!

Call 707-873-7062 and get pep talks from kindergarteners. Start with option 1 and then go through the rest. It will cheer you up! #4 is my favorite. I love hearing the kids laugh with delight!

Didn’t anyone ever teach you to never dip your wick into the company ink?

Didn’t anyone ever teach you not to swim in the company pool?

Didn’t anyone teach you not to shite where you eat?

My sympathy level for you is zero.

Pick up a committed hobby, like beekeeping. After a year, if you still feel down, you’ll have your own source of mead to drown your sorrows.
