Bill Gannon was ticketed for the same thing on a kind of light hearted 'Dragnet' one time.

He can't use his driveway if his wife is using it. So it can still be used, but it can't be used the way he needs it to be used. So when he says "I can't use my driveway," there is some truth to it.
My statement was so benign and general almost to the point of administrative or informational. And yet here we are, where I figured we'd be.
So, it is you being you.

You're a sovereign citizen, they have no authority over you.

They should be charging pedestrians for walking on the street

Get off your fat arse and clean out your pigsty garage and STFU.

This is pretty much textbook semantics arguing.

Just saying semantics would have been easier.

You;'re the one trying to prove a trivial point. Unless OP comes back and says no cars fit in his driveway without blocking the sidewalk of course.

Lol.
You don't own the property from the sidewalk to the street

I got one for having only the front part of my brush guard sticking over the sidewalk. That's a foot at most.
I also got a ticket for parking in my front yard. Was only there maybe two hours. I only did that because I got a ticket for parking over the sidewalk a few weeks earlier

So when you asked "why not?" you weren't actually missing information, you were preparing for an argument. Got it.
Always a pleasure.

No, I was asking a question. It's a fair question when he says his only two options are messing up grass or parking in the street. Don't get you panties in a bunch because the OP is either leaving out info or is just "parking challenged."

Sounds like Beau Pre on Brightside...those meter maid wannabes are fricking hostile over this type of shite.

Somehow, the person talking to you always ends up "with their panties in a wad" according to you. Weird.
He can't use his driveway because the space between whatever is in front of him (house or other car) and the sidewalk is too small. Not sure what's so troubling about that statement, but I'm also not sure how me saying that and you responding with a disagreement makes me the one arguing semantics. You're the one who had a problem originally.

Where I grew up it was easier to run in the street because there were so many cars blocking the sidewalk you were constantly swerving around into yards, etc.
Neighborhood I lived in for the past 5 years until recently cars were blocking the side walk every day, including my own, and never once did I ever see this ticket. Still think it is a dumb ordance (TO ENFORCE) and actually give a ticket for. Give a warning or some shite.

sorry, but cars should not block sidewalks...it is more about handicapped people...it is also about children. Also, there is a good chance you don't own that portion of your driveway (ie, the part that includes the sidewalk, and the space between the sidewalk and the street)

Your driveway actually passes thru the side walk and it's illegal to block the sidewalk pretty much everywhere.
