Craft beer was being propped up by millennials who now have less time and energy to sit around drinking as they move up to more responsibilities and health concerns in life.

The younger generations are swapping marijuana for alcohol and the alcohol they do drink is less likely to be beer.

Also breweries grew in popularity during Covid era. Most were situated where they could bypass the silly covid laws & stay open

Ghost Train in Birmingham just shut down. Like many of you, we don't go to the breweries much anymore for various reasons. I quit going to Ghost Train back in 2020 when they felt it was important for young thugs to burn down the city without repercussions (and cater to trans/weirdos). I think go woke, go broke will apply to most breweries in the next year or so.

Yep. People who drink craft beer hate Trump

Maybe most but not all. Craft beer taste fresh with much more flavor plus the added alcohol. Trump supporter who likes craft beer. All of your miller lite, coors light, mich ultra etc taste like cold water.

I think Gnarly is doing very well too. They do events all the time, has Dine Gnar there with outstanding food, and the drinks on tap isn't $10 last I remember.

Were they Baton Rouge's first craft brewery?

It seems like yes, but I could be wrong. I would say not much more than 10 years ago went up to Portland Maine which population wise was about the size of Lake Charles and they had 10 craft breweries - did a beer tour there. At the time Louisiana had 7 total in the whole state and Tin Roof was one of them.

Today Louisiana has about 50 total which still ranks it near the bottom in number per capita but they've come along way, apparently to the point of oversaturation, at least in this market, as it seems several are closing of late?

This happened with many breweries during the George Floyd government psych-op of 2020 combined with the China virus. For some weird reason many brewery owners are of the far left liberal/TDS mindset & did all they could to run off half of their customers blasting out their far left views in person & on social media. Drag shows aimed at children didn't help the situation either.

Shame. Tin Roof beer was horrid early on and they turned it around and generally made decent-to-good beer, and the space was nice to bring the kids and let them run around outside.

I hope that Cypress Coast never really desiring to be bigger than a good neighborhood brewery keeps them open, but I'd love it if the old Fluer De Lis could be bought and turned into something fun as well.

I didn't know your people had a particular beer brand you liked best.

My people stopped buying their beer when they decided to do drag queen activities to show us how woke they were... but you do you. I prefer not to support mentally ill deviants.

The 40/50 something’s who have the most disposable income can’t drink as much beer because it makes them bloated. We have all switched to cocktails, wine and whiskey.

The way that everything is phrased, it really feels like it was bought either by a holding company or someone bought the brand and will move production. Or AB-InBev type beer conglomerate bought it.

Will obviously wait for an official announcement to judge, but the secrecy is kind of odd.

I saw their beer in a store on Saturday. Must be old inventory.
