I’m not a Porsche enthusiast baw, I just like driving a convertible in great weather. Looks gold to me.

As far as shaving goes, I guess, I didn’t ask they didn’t mention. Front were 7/8th? Not sure but I’d rather just get em replaced Incase I take the baby out and face issues

Why 3?

Had a flat few months ago so I bought one. Had another flat (different tire) the other day. Other two were from 2019 and starting to dry rot.

I got 4 cheap 60,000 mile tires for my Honda for under $500 last year.

Maybe for the meal…. Get the app man.

Or get the sub of the day made into a footling for a $10 meal

BOGO $1 every day.

I don’t disagree shite has gotten out of hand in prices… we just look for deals more often.

Meat, chicken, etc on sale - get more than normal, etc.

It sucks.

I will tell you a secret about the tire bidness. People, particularly old people, are kind of dumb and set in their ways when it comes to tires. The amount of perfectly good tires that are pulled off of vehicles these days is staggering. Most tire places, especially the chain joints, require their employees to cut and throw away "pull-offs".

The hack is to find a shop, or make friends with a manager/employee, who is willing to ignore such company policies in exchange for untaxed cash on the side. There may or may not be some of these types out there who may or may not make a good amount of money out the back door of a shop.*

Southeast Used Tires does a LOT of business around the BR area b/c you can get 4 decent used tires on your car and out the door for under $150.
And they'll last you 2 years in many cases.

I ran Conti's on my old Mazda 3. usually get 55-60 k on a set. rear cupping was the biggest issue (i didn't really rotate them)

do you all change tires just because of age and not necessarily wear?

Annoys me that they are pretending that the price of rubber has increased.

Anyway, Discount Tire is the goat of all tire stores. The only people who don’t go there are the ones who don’t know.

Honestly seems like tired have climbed less in price than most things the past 5 years. I intentionally avoid cars with wheels larger than 20” in diameter though.

Keep yours rotated and properly inflated. You can get 40,000+ out of most of them even in Louisiana where our roads are completely neglected.

Well you bought the most expensive type tire on the market

I just put a nice set of all terrain 10 ply tires on my Silverado high country with 20 inch rims for 840 bucks
