There are way better channels for reuniting dogs and owners than just dumping at a park but I’m glad it all worked out.
Or, maybe…you could stop making assumptions and creating imaginary boogeymen to be pissed off at. There could also be a totally rational reason someone put him in the dog park too.

So you see a fat, friendly, well taken care of Australian Shepherd in a dog park (whatever the frick that is), and immediately think some human should be eviscerated. Your jump to conclusions flew over rational thought.

Good to read there are others ready to take in the pup. Most optimistic view is the person didn't want the dog to be in a shelter and end up being put down. But yeah. At least the doggo looks to be in decent shape, well fed.

Maybe the person found him and did not have the time or did not want to hassle with looking for the owner or taking him anywhere to get chipped. He or she may have left the dog there, knowing that it’s frequented by dog lovers and someone would take it.
And if the owner actually abandoned it there,, same thing. He or she knew someone would take it in.

OP gets outraged while being completely wrong about the situation; thread is half filled with people who didn't read past the OP and join OP in their completely unfounded outrage.
I would say on par for the OT, but frankly, it's on par for society at this point.

Looks like an Aussie. Great dogs. My daughter (no pics) has 2 and they are awesome, except for the shedding. Hair is everywhere.
But very intelligent and trainable.
