Oh goodie. More apartments

And your problem with multifamily housing is what?

The parcel in question is large enough for many application in addition to multifamily. And that is what makes commerce work.

If Top Golf opens a location in the location mentioned, I will go once a month.

Anyone know if their permit request was approved?

The vote is scheduled for 10/16 according to that article. The article also says that the Tinseltown site was already rezoned for alcohol sales back in 2015 when Main Event was looking at the property. Wouldn't that speed up the approval process for this permit?

I truly don't understand the wild fascination with TopGolf.

Nor do I. As a regular golfer, it bores the hell out of me. Maybe its because it is always work related and you have to watch jackasses attempt to hit a ball for the first time in years.

Also, it just isn't that fun.

Cool bump.

Little secret about East Baton Rouge development....they'll approve almost anything. Having alcohol sales being allowed there makes the site ideal for this kind of development.

I would think actual golfers would prefer to just go to a driving range. TopGolf is for people to get together and have fun while laughing at each other.

That is no secret. If you go to a P&Z meeting anywhere in the Parish you cannot distinguish between developers and city officials. They are beyond buddy buddy.

The NOLA site got the requested zoning change, but I haven't seen anything else filed on it.

It's not happening in NO off Earhart/Broad. Not sure what happened but the other location they are still looking at is by Esplanade Mall.

That's disappointing

...but this would be a way better location.

Too bad D&B didn't go to Met/Ken instead of downtown

We need to do a $20 million, 2 year study before we make any hasty decisions.

And I choose Charlene Easton-Gloome to do the study. No relation to your mayor, of course.

TG provides an attractive alternative to one of my favorite pastimes.... Going out with friends and playing bar games.

TG should be viewed in the same vein as friday night bowling. It's entertainment, not sport

TG has lots of minigame options that range in difficulty allowing serious golfers to enjoy themselves as well.
