Most definitely. And it's the perfect time to show the Christmas Spirit by inviting someone to join in the joy.
Yes especially menege de trois.

with I have multiple invites and I may stop by one or two places tomorrow but honestly I just prefer being by myself. Being around others families just reminds me that my family is gone.
Remember that sometimes what we think we want isn’t what’s best for us, especially when it comes to being alone.
But I can understand it, just saying.

Both of my parents are gone now. This morning, I was thinking about them and how grateful I am that they were my parents. They were just the best. I know not a lot of people have the type of parents I had.
I was talking with my oldest and he said he was missing his MawMaw today big time.

My dad passed November 2. It's really hitting home now, this week. Merry Christmas, everyone.

Lost my mother and mother in law this year. Would always gather in Ruston for Christmas Eve and then go to Tyler on Christmas!

One of my best friends lost both parents and his brother. He has no family for the holidays. He comes and stays with us and does family Christmas with our families
I’ve spent a few holidays alone because of work and probably won’t have many more with my mom. My sister and I aren’t that close so I plan to spend my Christmas holidays in the Caribbean or Hawaii after my mom passes. I’m the only early riser in family so I’m planning on going to Waffle House at 5:30 in the morning and give my waitress/waiter a great tip. The Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays I did spend alone at work I always ate at Waffle House. I just always felt like I was intruding when I was invited over to someone’s house for the holidays.

Every year, we have a group, we bring to the Veterans Home. I bring a box full of items. They deliver. I also give cash, they installed a number of new TV’s.

Miss my favorite uncle, especially around this time of year. Dude was the life of the gatherings. Plus he was a great baker. Pineapple cream-cheese cake was phenomenal. Still remember he and aunt fussing over him being in the kitchen.

Thats how you know you were blessed with some really good folks. You don't miss the assholes but you sure as heck miss the good people in your life and carry them with you the rest of your days

This can be true also.

My sister in law turned a certain age (I’ll leave it at that) and kicked my brother out a month and a half ago, so we’re keeping a close eye on him. Definitely some instability in the front he’s got on for his kids.
They had started dating 30 years ago when they were 14, so kind of a shock for everyone. First Christmas she hasn’t attended since they were 15.
Between my mom and sister wanting to kick her arse, and me being the uncle that shows up once or twice a year, we’re making it rain this Christmas for his kids.

Cool gesture, until you had to tell everyone about it.

I’m one of these people. Lost it all during this month in the last five years.
