No, Fedex will still have a station in Baton Rouge. Also, no Fedex deliveries come out of New Orleans. All packages are flown into N.O. and then trucked to the station in BR (This is for Express). Fedex Ground packages are trucked to the station in BR from various places.

The FedEx One initiative is eliminating most FedEx Express centers and directly employed delivery couriers. The vast majority will now be handled by the employees of the contract holders who own FedEx Ground routes. This has not happened yet in Baton Rouge, but is to be expected within the next year or two.

They routinely lie about attempted deliveries and tracking.

I've experienced this.

Wait until you learn about usps.

I shipped a 52 lb box of exotic wood pieces from BR to Denver. $132 to ship. Three day guarantee. We are on day 9 and it’s been from Prairieville to baton rouge. Hasn’t moved since.

I’m likely out of $450

Had a 45 pound package delivered this afternoon, to rural WI, that came from Ontario CA.

Shipped Monday and arrived 45 minutes outside their estimated delivery time.

Not pimping them as I think USPS is no worse than any other and their rates are much lower. Have never had the "delivery attempted" BS I hear so much about with UPS. They leave packages outside the door and never even knock.

The last 3 deliveries I had from them, each time I watched in the app, from my living room, as the driver drove past my house. A few hours later "delivery attempted, no one home to receive".

They stuck a note on my business door today saying they would try to deliver the next business day. Door was unlocked like always and I never left.

He must have came up the stairs and forgot to bring the box so he left a note instead of going back down to the truck and getting it

You can get pretty much any item in a supermarket delivered in 2 days, often times less than 24 hours...

To think the govt is better than any private company is crazy. I've had nothing but problems mailing in/out of my business office thru the regular govt service (snail mail). It's crazy how incompetent they are. Maybe it's just my govt civil postal agent (woman) but it's bad, real bad. Fedex and the guys in brown are way better that our govt edition of getting any delivery.
