You are a fool if you don't believe policy and legislation affect prices.

Read and think about this folks. For years the democrat party claimed that Republicans only cared about rich people and it was the democrats who were champions of the common man and the downtrodden.

Now it's if the high gas prices and inflation are negatively affecting you and your budgets it's frick you broke mother fricker.

Ponder this people

Ok.

Some Americans are hurt by this. Some Americans are helped by this.

Which one are you?

And the administration is still holding firm on their policies that got us here.

Oh they’re doing better than that: they’re asking fricking Iran for oil, you know the guys that stone rape victims to death and publicly hang gay people. Let’s do business with those guys instead of Frank who simply wants to drill on public land.

Up twenty cents from yesterday to today at my regular place. $3.59 to $3.79 for regular. Really wish I had filled up last night.

People put too much credit and blame on the White House.

Trump had low gas prices because Putin flooded the market trying to kill US shale gas investment. And then prices further declined when the pandemic shut down the economy.

Conventional domestic energy policy can only steer the global supply & demand so much.

Now if Biden is going to impose oil sanctions that removes Russian oil from the supply, the world economy will be forever shook, and you’ll be pleading for $5/gal gas as you ride the shuttle bus on the way to your job in oil production and/or refining.

Stop bargaining with yourself, frickhead. You voted for this, you’re responsible for this. You own it.

I agree higher gas prices generally hurt Americans. Increased costs to produce and distribute goods goes up. People who live and drive more than a couple of miles from their work are significantly impacted. Small businesses, already struggling from the effects of the pandemic, will be impacted without some sort of relief.

With that said, please enlighten me how lower gas prices can be achieved by summer without purchasing oil from adversarial countries or hoping for another sustained 2019/2020 market dump from OPEC?

The Middle Class will want to see increased production thinking it's the way to relieve the hurt at the pump. In reality the only ones benefitting will be the oil corporations because the global market will dictate the price for oil. Maybe the only thing the President and Congress can do is temporarily pause the Federal gas tax. Fine, do it. Whatever. As long as one of the largest o&g producing countries in the world continues to conduct unsolicited war games inside the borders of another European country where the outcome is either total takeover or complete economic collapse at home, the oil market is going to be rough.

America will not be able to drill their way out of this.
