Your really ought to have to pass a test to enter Yellowstone un-escorted. Folks do stupid shite all the time with signs warning of the dangers...and every time it happens the park comes up with yet another barrier, which is only effective in limiting what can be seen and experienced in the park because stupid is going to stupid....

They had a guy a few days before this help a newborn bison cross the river, the calf was then rejected by the herd and had to be put down. Hate seeing stupid tourists do shite like this.

It may be getting worse in some ways, though. Some women are becoming more and more immersed in their own narcissistic world, where they're the "star" of the movie, and everything revolves around them.
Massive amounts of attention and positive affirmation seem to amplify this.

Very good point. I have a good friend who has lives about 30 miles from one entrance to Teton and as the crow flies about 30 miles from one entrance to Yellowstone (it'd be a high altitude, physically superior crow for certain). He has hunted and fished in both and the surrounding areas for 70 years. Some of the tells he has about things he and the local people did at one time are shocking...but they were so few of them their idiocy had little to no impact on anything...now that it is possible for anyone with a vehicle to enter and get to areas that took them days back in the day the dynamic is changed dramatically. He and I have discussed this and he is of the opinion that there are too many regs....and from what he knew that is a fact...the difference is that the area is more accessible to more people today than ever before...and most of them are not overly bright when it comes to their impact on an ecosystem that now only exists through a lot of hard work.
