Missed opportunities don’t count as losses. Everyone has those.

I should’ve bought Apple in 1988.

I should’ve bought Amazon in 2006.

Does that meet your approval?

Yeah. I mean, I didn’t do bitcoin, Apple, Amazon, etc. And I don’t even count a sum of my stock losses. Half the time I expect to get hammered in the market. It’s a crapshoot.

New home construction. We built our 2nd home knowing that it wasn’t going to be our forever home and lost about 20k when we sold it. I’ll never build a house again. Let someone else put up the building costs.

I won $500 on a parlay in college and my brother convinced me to buy stocks of his company. I bought in at like a buck per share. Watched the stock go down and down and down, sold my shares at like 27 cents and bought some penny stock and lost it all.

Like ten years later I looked at that stock and it was up over 30 per share.

I would have turned a $5 bet into $15k.

was watching a stock and thinking about dropping a few grand on it...

it went from 30 to 9.9 because the ceo dropped the mail option of the product to go 100 digital...

netflix at 9.9....still stings;(

Turned around a failing business for what was supposed to be a reasonable paycheck and an equity stake. Other parties involved jacked me around for a couple years over partnership agreements. They screwed me out of $500k but the real loss was several years of better opportunities missed. Everyone says to sue, but living a life tangled up in lawsuits is no good way to live.

Lesson learned, don't make any business deal without a written contract up front. If you don't have a detailed and fully executed contract up front, you will get screwed.

1.Knocked up my girlfriend after knowing her for 6 months and got married 2 years later.

2.Got conned by some Texas bozos to work for a stupid roofing sales/1099 contractor job in Michigan straight out of college...fell off roof, fractured 2 vertebrae, and went to ER without insurance.

3.Paid cash for a used BMW without a warranty.

If you stayed in the market you still had a great year in 2020.
