Interesting you mention that. My wife and I both attended high school with Tish. She was a year older than me and was in my wife's class (1985). Both my wife and I noticed many years ago that Miley displays many of the same traits and habits that her mother did at a similar age. Kind of the apple/tree idiom I guess.
I remember Billy Ray playing local gigs in Ironton and Huntington with his local band in the 80s, but didn't know him personally. He had attended Russell HS in Greenup County. My wife's uncle was the principle at that high school when he was a student there.

He has/had a brother named “Kebo”, not sure on spelling. He lived in West Monroe for a while. He was a pretty odd cat hisself. Dude said there’s 2 types of women, a good ole biggun, and a big ole goodun.
