Working in the bowling alley. Wasn't a fun job at all.

I had a few but my longest gig during high school was working at Ethan Allen. Cushiest job ever. Went around changing out light bulbs and emptied waste baskets. Would sometimes help people load stuff into their vehicles. After about 15 minutes of actual work, I did whatever homework I had and cleaned my golf clubs and practiced on my swing.

Started mowing yards, and raking leaves, in sixth grade. First paychecks came from stuffing inserts into newspaper in junior high. Pumped gas, fixed tractor and semi flats, and did line jobs at a full service has Gulf station in high school.

Car wash or working in a fireworks stand. Cannot remember which. Ah the good old (very old) days!

Checking Cotton. Made bank as a teenager because I was I was working 75 hours per week. I did that from my sophomore year in high school until my junior year in college. I made enough money in 2 1/2 months to make it until the next summer. Some of the best days of my life

Construction laborer for my dad. That first job was for 0.80 per hour. Got a sweet gig with Ingersoll Rand reading gauges my senior year. Made 2.10 an hour and thought I was rich.

High school: General Contractor’s helper on home remodels for two summers. Learned a lot about building stuff.
Then haybailing and insurance collection on a debit route and life guarding and whatever needed doing in the family businesses.
Was cutting grass for pay after 6th grade.

When I was 16 I got hired by my school district on the mowing crew for the summer. I was the low man so I ran a weedeater and the push mower for 8 hours a day.
I didn't care though, as I was clearing a little more than $600 a month and I thought that was big money back in 1991. I only for to do it that one summer because their regular summer helper broke his leg.
