You haven't truly lived until you visit a destination gas station.

I'd definitely drive out of my way to visit a Buc-ees.

It’s ok
But Wawa, Sheetz and Royal Farms are better with much less chaos

You should. The stalls are something to behold.
Plenty of paper and even wipes to clean the seats before use.
Proper ventilation and walls on each side.
Very peaceful.

I’m partial to Stuckeys. Less traffic because they have a location on both sides of the interstate. Does Stuckeys still exist?

Just left the place and it definitely lived up to the hype, aside from the trashy high school aged kids running around. Restrooms were sparkling clean. Super cheap beer and one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten.
I can see why the place almost has a cult-like following.

Texas is the king of Self promotion, along with deception and stealing...that said their bathrooms are clean and there are lots of them.

Exit 819. The Praline logs are waiting on you.

Cannot believe Pearl or Brandon MS does not have one of these along I-20. It would be a one of their top grossing stores.

When I was a kid in the ‘70s, we’d get so excited to stop at a Stuckey’s on a road trip. I’ve dragged my kids into them on the rare occasions we pass one on trips now.
Now I get the same excitement when we hit a Buc-ee’s. Spend around $75 each time we stop there.
Cinammon rolls better than Cinnabon
Brisket sandwich
Zebra popcorn
Beaver Nuggets
And always a fresh Buc-ee doll for my dog. He rapes that thing endlessly. That doll has been fricked more times than Stormy Daniels.

To many on this site its presence in the greater BR area (and , Louisiana) would have been the economic engine to propel LA forward into the modern era.
