TD premium membership.
To this day, paying $800 per seat to upgrade to business class on Emirates for my honeymoon the Maldives. We were in an A380 and had a separate jetway to board the plan and a full bar and bartender in the back of that section. Everything from the liquor to the champagne was top shelf.

A book on "reversing" diabetes. It led to me to losing 100 lbs and getting off metformin and metoprolol, which then led to getting sober, which, in turn, led to being active and exercising. A $10 purchase.

In late 2019 and early 2020 I got to go to the SEC Championship, the Peach Bowl playoff game, and the National Championship with my dad. That was money well spent.

Instead of throwing out the seeds from $30 sacks as a young teenager, I saved them and grew thrm on rural property while educating myself on how to.
Because of this was then able to buy and trade for all the instruments and home recording hardware that was needed in those days.

A ticket for my grandma to fly on Concorde. It was on her bucket list and the grandkids got together for her 80th to get her a seat on one of the charter flights they ran out of LHR at the time. Seeing her beaming smile when she got off is something I'll never forget.

Catholic Skule Tuition for my kids.
Their age peers who didn’t attend parochial school with them have generally not done well.
Having Airport Lounge privileges has been nice on a smaller scale

For the value that it adds, the convenience it makes weekly upkeep, and the price I paid for it, I am going with my zero turn mower.
Previously used a self propelled push mower when I was younger and had more energy but the days of wasting that energy cutting grass is long gone.
If it broke or were stolen today, I would be ordering another. Makes grooming the yard effortless and enjoyable.

$775 for a 1964 Leica M3 camera and 50mm Summicron lens in chrome, purchased in 1986. I could sell it these days for $4K+ if I wanted to. A Leica rangefinder camera is beautiful functional art.

My Medical School tuition, without a doubt. Expensive, but the returns have changed my trajectory more than anything I could have ever realistically imagined…

2k for an attic lift.
You only have to fall off a drop stair once trying to get a Christmas tree into your attic storage to get it.
$350 for an inflatable hot tub was pretty good too. Lasted for 3 years until it picked up a leak. Heater was still good and the jets were really good.

Money spent on ensuring my kids had what they needed and were prepared to succeed in life.
$500 for a flood insurance policy turned out to be in the "best money ever spent" category!!
