A cat

I'm in a new house and no longer have the issue. However, I have a cat now, something I've never owned. How does the cat help out if the mice are in the attic, or walls? Is it just the smell of the cat that wards them off?

by going to the hardware store and buying the box of poison that has little green pellets inside. Toss those all over your attic and the mice will eat and then leave to go find water and die.
that's how you wind up with an awful stench inside your wall

Go to Amazon.com and get a electrocution trap. Painless and humane. THanks.

My husband accidentally locked our neighbor's big orange tomcat into his work shed just before going down to work on our boat for a week. Clyde exited the workshed eight days later, fatter than when he went in. And wasn't in a hurry to leave the shed.

I once had a problem with squirrels. Went to Lowe's or Home Depot and got some device that you plug in.... it emits some sort of sound wave.... that they can't stand..and leave..

I tried everything, until a friend told me about this...

Think it was about 40 dollars

Maybe you missed the part about how the mice/rat/rodent leaves the house/premises to search for water. The poison makes them feel like they need water. They don't need water, they need to die. They end up dying outside, so the stench is outside. Not inside.

If you have pets, you have to make sure they don't get any of the dead rodents.

The best method is the old school mouse traps baited with peanut butter or a nut.

Never heard of fapping on a mouse trap, but okay if you say it works.

Okay, if serious, glue traps are worthless indeed. Poison works occasionally, but nothing can be compared to the good old spring traps. And yeah, peanut butter is great bait for these rodents, not the cheese. There's also an article which mentions ultrasonic traps. Has anyone tried it?

I just threw poison up in the attic when my attic had mouse. 2 days they were no more. Never smelled them either.

Set the attic on fire. The smoke will drive them out.
