Counting down 5-4-3-2-1 in the Dome as Donnie Jones's punt was in the air.

It was when I pitched a perfect game in high school. I had 12 K's.
Nothing tops the Saints winning the Super Bowl. I was with my brother. He passed away about 2 years later.

My team was up 28-3 in the second half of the Super Bowl. I got so drunk celebrating I didn't even finish watching the game. All I know is we got that ring. Rise Up!

I have several, but one that was most special was playing the catholic school championship (elementary) in tiger stadium before the lsu vs Florida game mid 1970s

Best LSU in baseball my senior year. Came back from an 8-0 deficit to win 12-11.

Little League game a triple play I was the SS caught a line drive to start. For those few seconds we kids looked like the Astros. Coaches were jazzed. Still remember it many years later.

Won the football state championship my senior year. Beat Shaw 28-7 and our QB did pretty much everything, but was still pretty surreal being on the field of the Dome with our name on the Jumbotron.

Played catch with Mickey Mantle for about 30 minutes back in 1982 when I was 10. He was friends with my dad and spent the weekend with us. Heard lots of great stories too.

After losing 2 consecutive state championships to the same team in baseball we played them a third time the following year. Ended up winning this one on a walk off grand slam. This propelled us to a three peat, 1982, 83, and 84. Played for 6 state championships in 7 years, going 3-3 in those games. Great memories!

As a fan, Saints winning the Super Bowl - single moment was Porter’s int
In person, Saints-Falcons reopening of Superdome in ‘06, single moment Steve Gleason’s blocked punt
Personal, 1986 14-yr old state all-star baseball tournament at Ponchatoula Athletic Park. We were playing a team from Bossier (Todd Walker was on that team). They brought in a pitcher, I’d like to BELIEVE it was Walker, who was throwing HARD and struck out something like 5 in a row, no one even fouled one off. So when I was up I grabbed the smallest, lightest bat, looked like a fungo it was so damned skinny. I told myself to swing as soon as that sucker started his wind up. I swear I closed my eyes and swung. Grounded out to 2nd base. High fives in the dugout.

The funniest story:
Made a game winning 3 pointer in the face of Eli Manning when he was at St George’s
Years later I took a picture with him after we played Newman in football acting like I was shooting a football and his hand in my face.
Coolest :
Hit a walk off HR in New Iberia during the High School State Quarterfinals. Lost in the State Championship, though :/

Mine and another family went to the Tennis US Open. It was the same weekend as hurricane Gustav just for reference. We were in Arthur Ash stadium, up pretty high, watching the night match of Djokavic and Cilic. Djok won in 4 sets and me and the kid from the other family went back in the concourse to go down to the court to get an autograph from him. We ended up getting lost in the concourse. I could tell we were not where we were supposed to be as we were walking on very nice carpet and there were old pictures and stuff on the wall. Next thing we know a door opens and John McEnroe walks out..he had just called the match on espn. He walked right up to us and said "Hey you guys lost?" And we were like "uhhh yes sir.." and he walked us over to the escalator and told us where to go to get an autograph. He was really friendly. Not one shite given

High School baseball 2 outs, runner at 3rd in the 7th, i'm playing second. Guy hits a bullet up the middle, sliding back hand on a one hopper, spun and threw guy out on a bang/bang play to extend the game which we ended up winning in 9innings. We were 2A and beat at the time #6 team in 4A
also had a game(against a crappier team), i went 4-4 with 7 RBI's. One of the hits being my only homerun in my life which was a GrandSlam

Senior year homecoming game I scored 2 rushing td and 2 kick return td. Funny thing is I was a DB, but we were crushed with injuries at RB so I had to fill in.
In terms of watching sports, the sheer joy of watching the Broncos beat the Falcons in the Super Bowl knowing my smug middle school self was going to be able to rub it in everyone's face at school the next day was pretty awesome.

I can remember everything about my first touchdown. The name of the play, the formation, I can almost relive the moment like a video in my head. Broke through a wide open hole on the left and it was green grass for 30 yards. I was running up the sideline and the safety had an angle on me, just put the brakes on and he went flailing out of bounds. It was like a 65 yard touchdown and I couldn’t spot the pylon for the life of me. I remember getting to about the 10 and thinking it was the goal line because I was fricking tired of sprinting. I was almost always the fastest kid on the field but never looked back or slowed down because I didn’t want to get caught. My dad used to film those peewee games and there was never a kid within 20 yards on my long runs but I was scared to death to slow down. This was the third grade. I miss peewee football.
I hit a half court shot at the halftime buzzer in 7th grade basketball. That was pretty cool. Rec league baseball as an 11 year old I made a diving catch in shallow center from second base for the last out to seal a 1 run win against the stacked team in the league that was like 13-0 at the time. My baseball team in high school was top 25 nationally and had 2 kids make the majors and another that was a first round pick that flamed out. Funny that my fondest memories are from early childhood sports
