I don't get it.. Same with charts. How can you not look at a chart and figure out what its saying? Of course it can be data from something the know nothing about, but I am talking about someone who is familiar with the data. You show them a chart and they are like "I don't know what all those lines and stuff mean"..
As for as maps. You know what helped me out with maps and knowing where shite is in the USA? College football.. And NFL, but college because there are more schools.. But as far as I can remember, I would listen while watching games and when they talked about the game location, etc then over time it was just associating things (conference.. SEC all southern states. Big 10 are schools from this area).

75% of the people I meet are like this. They practically need a GPS to get from Metairie to Mandeville
This might explain why there are never new roads added in Louisiana to reduce traffic such as a loop around Baton Rouge. No one knows how to read a map so there is no way to realize where they are needed.

The average human is just incredibly stupid. The average IQ is like 100. Bet she also stops at the top of an escalator to plot her next move instead of having it figured out ahead of time. It’s amazing that so many people get by as well as they do.

The UK baws I worked with would argue with each other about shite like this all the time and I think their country is about as big as Connecticut
This was either very well done or you’re proving the OP’s point.

[quote]The last part is a weird thing to be annoyed by. If someone has never been to Houma/Thibodaux, and has no plan to go there, why should they be expected to tell you the exact route to take?[quote]
Anyone who lives in South Louisiana should be smart enough to tell you where places like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Houma, Hammond, etc are on the map and how to get there.
Also, Houma and Thibodaux are not little 500-person villages. 200,000 people live in Houma-Thibodaux and the surrounding area of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.
You saying this kind of proves my point about how many dummies we have around here.
